Step 1
Initial Disclosure Document (IDD)
We are required by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) to provide you with an Initial Disclosure Document (IDD). This document outlines the services provided and what service you will be provided with. The IDD will explain whether you will be paying a fee for the service, who regulates us as the lender and where to go should you have a complaint.
You should save a copy of the IDD for your records.

Step 2
Contact Us
Call us on 0161 923 8040 to discuss your requirements with one of our representatives. During the call, we will ask you a series of specific questions which will allow us to gather the information we need to be able to provide you with the necessary documentation, as outlined in Step 3 below. Our lines are open 8.30am until 5pm Monday to Friday. Alternatively email us with your enquiry to independentunderwriting@themanchester.co.uk stating the most convenient time/method for us to contact you.

Step 3
Personalised Key Facts Illustration
Key Facts Illustrations (KFI) detail the specifics of the mortgage you are interested in. You will be issued with a KFI for the mortgage(s) you discuss with our representatives.

Step 4
Full Application
Once you have decided on the mortgage you require. Please complete and return the application form to our Head Office together with the following documents:-

  • Proof of Identity - Certified or original copies of your passport or drivers licence (including paper counterpart).
  • Proof of address - A recent utility bill or similar.
  • Proof of income - Please refer to the individual product descriptions for specific scheme details.
